Submitting a Chemical to the pHin Database

pHin allows consumers and partners to submit high-resolution images of chemicals to have them added to the pHin chemical database.

pHin supports dosing for the following chemical types:

  • pH Down
  • TriChlor
  • DiChlor
  • MPS Shock

  • Total hardness increaser or decreasers
  • Algaecides
  • Clarifiers
  • Flocculants

Your images should clearly capture the following pieces of information from each chemical container:

  1. Brand
  2. Product name exactly as it appears on the container
  3. Chemical type ( e.g. pH Down, Bromine, MPS, etc. )
  4. Usage: one or more of Pool, Hot Tub, Swim Spa
  5. Active ingredients & percentages
  6. Dosing instruction section
  7. Package type ( e.g. bag, bottle, pouch )
  8. Total container weight
  9. UPC or barcode
  10. SKU ( optional )

For best results, we recommend the following:

  • Ensure all of the important information above is captured
  • Take your photos in a location with good natural light
  • Take your photos in portrait mode ( vertical )
  • Upload either JPG or PNG images
  • Round packages will require more photos to capture all relevant text
  • Upload your images instead of emailing or SMSing them
  • Zoom into each image and make sure you can read all the text

Read the instructions above and then submit your chemical images here: Chemical Submission Form

Please note, it may take 2-4 weeks for chemicals to appear in the chemical database and we may not be able to accept all submissions.
