pHin allows consumers and partners to submit high-resolution images of chemicals to have them added to the pHin chemical database.
pHin supports dosing for the following chemical types:
- pH Up
- pH Down
- TriChlor
- DiChlor
- MPS Shock
- CalHypo
- Bromine Tablets
- Sodium Bromide
pHin does NOT support dosing for the following chemical types:
- Total Alkalinity increasers or decreasers
- Total hardness increaser or decreasers
- Algaecides
- Clarifiers
- Flocculants
- Sequestering agents
- De-foamers
- Stabilizers
Your images should clearly capture the following pieces of information from each chemical container:
- Brand
- Product name exactly as it appears on the container
- Chemical type ( e.g. pH Down, Bromine, MPS, etc. )
- Usage: one or more of Pool, Hot Tub, Swim Spa
- Active ingredients & percentages
- Dosing instruction section
- Package type ( e.g. bag, bottle, pouch )
- Total container weight
- UPC or barcode
- SKU ( optional )
For best results, we recommend the following:
- Ensure all of the important information above is captured
- Take your photos in a location with good natural light
- Take your photos in portrait mode ( vertical )
- Upload either JPG or PNG images
- Round packages will require more photos to capture all relevant text
- Upload your images instead of emailing or SMSing them
- Zoom into each image and make sure you can read all the text
